Chong Wei Menang Gelaran Hatrik Pada Terbuka Hong Kong

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 Nov (Bernama) -- Jaguh badminton negara Datuk Lee Chong Wei merangkul kejuaraan ketiga Terbuka Hong Kong selepas mengalahkan Sony Dwi Kuncoro, pada final di Hong Kong Colliseum, Kowloon, Ahad.

Pemain nombor satu dunia itu tidak menghadapi masalah untuk mengetepikan pemain Indonesia dalam masa 34 minit dengan keputusan 21-13, 21-9, sekali gus mencatatkan kejuaraan keenam siri super tahun ini.

Sebelum ini, Chong Wei, 31, menjuarai kejohanan itu pada 2009 dan 2010.

Dalam pada itu, pemain China, Wang Yihan memenangi acara perseorangan wanita apabila menundukkan rakan senegara Wang Shixian 21-13, 16-21 dan 21-15.

Gelaran acara beregu lelaki menjadi milik Lee Yong Dae/Yoo Yeon Seong dari Korea Selatan apabila mengalahkan beregu senegara Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang 12-21, 21-15, 21-18.

Acara beregu wanita pula dimenangi oleh Bao Yixin/Tang Jinhua dari China selepas mengecewakan beregu senegara Ou Dongni/Tang Yuanting 18-21, 21-16, 21-15.

Pasangan England Chris Adcock/Gabrielle White pula menjuarai acara beregu campuran apabila menumpaskan gandingan China, Liu Cheng/Bao Yixin 21-14, 24-22.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
