MAS taja Jersi Putih LTdL 2014

PENERBANGAN Malaysia (MAS) sekali lagi tampil untuk menaja Jersi Putih yang bakal menjadi rebutan pelumba terbaik Asia pada Kejohanan Lumba Basikal Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2014 bermula 27 Februari hingga 8 Mac depan.

Lebih menarik, MAS tampil selaku penaja pertama LTdL edisi ke-19 ini dengan anggaran tajaan lebih RM1 juta.

Naib Presiden Kanan Serantau Penerbangan Malaysia, Muzammil Mohamad berkata, ia adalah satu penghormatan besar buat MAS untuk terlibat sekali lagi pada jelajah paling berprestij itu.
Tambahnya, MAS turut memberi ganjaran kepada setiap pelumba negara sekiranya berjaya memenangi salah satu daripada sepuluh peringkat perlumbaan.

“Kami akan menawarkan dua tiket penerbangan domestik atau ke rantau Asia Tenggara pergi dan balik secara percuma khusus kepada pelumba negara yang memenangi mana-mana daripada sepuluh peringkat perlumbaan.

“Malah, jika (pelumba negara) berjaya memenangi Jersi Putih keseluruhan, dia akan mendapat tiket penerbangan percuma ke Paris bagi menyaksikan Le Tour de France,” katanya pada majlis penyerahan tajaan di Akademi Penerbangan Malaysia di Kelana Jaya, Selangor semalam.

Turut hadir ialah Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Penganjur LTdL, Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong, Naib Presiden Kanan Ketua Strategik Komunikasi MAS, Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah dan Timbalan Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Penganjur LTdL, Datuk Ab Jalil Abdullah.

Sementara itu, Ketua Pegawai Operasi LTdL, Emir Abdul Jalal berkata, LTdL kini dianggap sebagai medan perlumbaan terbaik yang disertai barisan pelumba terbaik dunia.

Jelasnya lagi, beliau tidak risau dengan peluang yang bakal diperoleh pelumba negara di kejohanan itu nanti.

“Saya tak takut dengan peluang mereka. Sejak daripada awal kita selalu memikirkan peluang mereka tetapi mereka sentiasa berada di atas podium.

“Walaupun tidak berada di atas podium pada tahun lepas, namun mereka terus memberikan persembahan yang menarik dan terus mencabar pelumba antarabangsa.

“Semua pelumba harus bersedia sepenuhnya kerana mereka akan bersaing dengan pelumba handalan dunia. Jadi, ini adalah cabaran yang mereka perlu tempuhi,” katanya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
