Pandelela nafi dakwaan peminat

Kuching: Pandelela Rinong Pamg menyangkal dakwaan peminat yang prestasinya semakin menurun selepas kejayaan mengutip pingat gangsa Sukan Olimpik London tahun lepas.

Sebaliknya ratu terjun itu menyatakan prestasinya masih di tahap terbaik dan yakin mengekalkan pingat emas acara 100 meter platform wanita individu pada Sukan SEA Myanmar bulan depan.

Beliau berkata, penyertaannya hanya dalam satu acara (10 meter platform wanita individu) di Myanmar bukan bermaka persembahannya menurun.

“Ia adalah untuk memberi peluang penerjun muda negara membuktikan diri pada temasya sukan itu nanti,” katanya merujuk kepada tindakan jurulatih negara Yang Zhuliang memilih penerjun muda Nur Dhabitah Sabri untuk berpasangan dengan Leong Mun Yee bagi mempertahankan pingat emas acara 10 meter platform berirama.

Pada Sukan SEA Palembang dua tahun lepas, Pandelela yang berpasangan dengan Mun Yee turut memenangi pingat emas acara itu.

“Tumpuan saya sekarang ialah untuk memenangi pingat emas acara kegemaran saya 10 meter platform individu,” tambah Pandelela.

Pandelela kembali ke Guangzhou, China semalam untuk meneruskan latihan sebagai persiapan menghadapi Sukan SEA.

“Saya berharap latihan di Guangzhou akan meningkatkan lagi prestasi saya kerana selain Sukan SEA, saya juga akan menyertai Sukan Komanwel dan Sukan Asia tahun depan,” katanya.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
