Rujuk ISN atau ADAMAS: Khairy


Kuala Lumpur: Atlet negara diminta merujuk kepada Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) atau Agensi Anti-Doping Malaysia (ADAMAS) bagi memastikan kandungan sebenar makanan tambahan diambil tidak mengandungi bahan larangan yang boleh menyebabkan mereka gagal dalam ujian doping.

Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar berkata, atlet tidak sepatutnya menerima apa saja diberikan sebagai makanan tambahan jika diragui hingga boleh menjejaskan prestasi mereka.

Beliau yang baru pulang daripada Persidangan Antarabangsa Anti Doping di Afrika Selatan, baru-baru ini berkata, tindakan lebih tegas akan dikenakan kepada atlet yang didapati bersalah.
“Antara keputusan dibuat Agensi Anti-Doping Dunia (WADA) ialah mengenakan hukuman lebih berat kepada atlet yang bersalah dari segi penggunaan bahan dadah terlarang,” katanya pada sidang media selepas acara Batik Fun Walk di sini, semalam.

Menurutnya, beliau memberi nasihat kepada atlet negara yang akan ke Sukan SEA Myanmar, bulan depan supaya mengambil perkembangan itu sebagai perkara serius.

“Badan dunia meletakkan hukuman lebih besar dan tinggi terhadap kesalahan anti doping.

Jika atlet diberi makanan tambahan dari sesiapa, sila rujuk kepada badan sukan berkenaan.
“Antara perkembangan yang diberitahu pada persidangan itu ialah dadah atau doping dalam sukan hari ini bukan hanya dikendalikan atlet dan jurulatih, malah pegawai dan pengurus pasukan,” katanya.

Justeru, katanya, atlet perlu sentiasa berwaspada dan merujuk dengan ISN atau ADAMAS untuk mendapatkan maklumat lanjut mengenai makanan tambahan yang diambil.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
