Tak perlu cari pengganti

Kelana Jaya: Jurulatih sementara Datuk Ong Kim Swee tidak bercadang memanggil pemain baru bagi menggantikan penyerang Norshahrul Idlan Talaha yang dikecualikan daripada menyertai latihan pusat skuad kebangsaan.

Kim Swee menegaskan beliau tidak berada dalam keadaan terdesak untuk mencari pemain baru lantaran pemain penyerang yang sedia ada mampu menggalas cabaran bagi pertemuan dengan Filipina bagi aksi persahabatan antarabangsa pada 1 Mac ini dan menentang Yaman untuk kelayakan Piala Asia 2015 empat hari kemudian.

“Saya tidak akan panggil pemain lain untuk menggantikan Mat Yo (Norshahrul), saya mempunyai pemain penyerang mencukupi. Buat masa ini saya hanya membawa masuk pemain pertahanan Asraruddin Putra Omar bagi menggantikan Mohd Razman Roslan yang mengalami kecederaan hamstring,” katanya ketika ditemui pada hari kedua sesi latihan pusat kebangsaan semalam.

Norshahrul mencetuskan kontroversi apabila gagal melaporkan diri kelmarin tanpa surat rasmi untuk meminta pengecualian.

Bagaimanapun pengurus pasukan Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal semalam mengesahkan mengadakan pertemuan dengan Norshahrul malam kelmarin dan menerima alasan pemain Johor Darul Ta'zim (Johor DT) itu untuk menarik diri.

Ketika ini Kim Swee mempunyai Mohd Safee Sali, Mohd Amri Yahyah, Bobby Gonzales, Ahmad Fakri Saarani dan Azamuddin Mohd Akil untuk mengisi posisi tengah.

Mengulas mengenai pelantikan Mohamad Aidil Zafuan Abd Radzak sebagai kapten bagi mengambil lilitan di lengan daripada Safiq Rahim, Kim Swee berkata, tonggak pertahanan Johor DT itu mempunyai personaliti dalam dan luar padang.

“Aidil kerap beraksi untuk pasukan kebangsaan, dia mempunyai ciri-ciri pemimpin di dalam padang dan pernah menjadi ketua pasukan sebelum ini,” katanya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
