‘Lupakan insiden malang’


Kuala Lumpur: Pelumba negara Azizulhasni Awang mahu melupakan insiden malang ketika Kejohanan Dunia dengan memberi tumpuan terhadap latihan dalam usahanya menghadiahkan pingat emas buat negara di dua temasya utama.

Sukan Asia dan Komanwel menjadi fokus utamanya selepas ini dengan segala perancangan sudah diatur ketua jurulatih John Beasley bagi memastikan pelumba negara itu berada di landasan tepat untuk memberi saingan.

Azizulhasni yang juga penyandang juara acara keirin Sukan Asia, tetapi dinafikan pingat emas di Sukan Komanwel berkata, perancangnya selepas ini melakukan latihan seperti biasa dengan mengikuti segala program dirancang Beasley.

Katanya, dia perlu terus menggilap prestasi semasa bagi memastikan kemuncak prestasinya berada di tahap tertinggi.

“Saya perlu fokus dan mengikut segala perancangan ditetapkan Beasley.

Dua temasya itu penting buat saya.

“Saya akan terus berlatih biarpun apa yang berlaku di Kejohanan Dunia masih lagi dirasai, tapi semua itu perlu dilupakan dan episod baru perlu dibuka,” katanya.

Di sebalik kekecewaan itu, Azizul sedar tahap prestasinya semakin baik dan biarpun pulang tangan kosong daripada Siri Piala Dunia Klasik dan Kejohanan Dunia, dia tetap meluahkan rasa gembira kerana dapat melihat adanya peningkatan drastik dalam prestasi semasanya.

Azizul selepas ini dijadual beraksi di Kejohanan Berbasikal Asia yang berlangsung di Astana Kazakhstan dari 21 Mei hingga 1 Jun.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
