Azlan Yakin Semua Acara Sukan Sukma Ke-17 Diadakan Di Perlis

KANGAR, 28 April (Bernama) -- Menteri Besar Perlis Azlan Man yakin semua acara sukan yang dipertandingkan dalam kejohanan Sukan Malaysia (Sukma) ke-17 akan diadakan di negeri ini selaku tuan rumah.

Beliau berkata ini termasuk acara melibatkan gelanggang yang masih dalam pembinaan dan menimbulkan kebimbangan setengah pihak sehingga ada dakwaan acara akuatik akan diadakan di Pusat Akuatik Gunung Keriang, dekat Alor Setar.

Bercakap kepada pemberita di sini hari ini, beliau mengulangi bahawa semua infrastruktur sudah 99 peratus siap kecuali kolam renang yang akan diserahkan oleh kontraktor kepada kerjaan negeri minggu depan.

Azlan berkata orang ramai tidak perlu bimbang kerana kolam renang itu dibina dengan konsep pasang siap menggunakan teknologi Itali.

"Saya agak kesal dengan cakap-cakap negatif pihak luar tidak menghargai usaha bersungguh-sungguh kerajaan negeri untuk menyiapkan segala keperluan bagi menjayakan Sukma termasuk kemudahan untuk petugas-petugas media," tambahnya.

Mengenai bilik operasi media, Azlan berkata ia telah disediakan lengkap dengan kemudahan Wifi dan jalur lebar kapasiti tinggi.

Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) pula telah maklum soal keselamatan atlet dan pegawai-pegawai yang berjumlah hampir 10,000 orang serta jaminan keselamatan orang ramai, katanya.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
