SAM risau kemudahan SUKMA belum siap


Arau: Persatuan Penulis Penulis Sukan Malaysia (SAM) melahirkan kebimbangan terhadap persiapan penganjur Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) Ke-17 2014 di Perlis kerana terdapat banyak kekurangan selain kemudahan peralatan belum disiapkan untuk kegunaan petugas media.
Presiden SAM Ahmad Khawari Isa berkata, berdasarkan lawatan kelmarin, pihaknya mendapati beberapa venue termasuk Stadium Utama, Kompleks Aquatik dan juga Sek retariat SUKMA yang menempatkan pusat media utama belum disiapkan.

“Menjadi kebiasaan SAM melakukan lawatan awal bagi meninjau persiapan sebarang temasya sukan utama tempatan termasuk sehingga ke Sukan SEA. Namun kali ini SAM berasa risau sikit kerana terlalu sedikit persiapan dibuat.

“Kami belum nampak sebarang kemudahan untuk petugas media sedangkan SUKMA akan berlangsung dalam tempoh kurang sebulan.

“Sebagai wakil kepada pengamal media, kami hanya berpegang kepada jaminan penganjur dan berharap mereka dapat mengotakan janji kesemua kemudahan itu akan siap sepenuhnya menjelang kejohanan itu, hujung bulan depan,” katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian ketika ditemui selepas perlawanan bola sepak persahabatan antara SAM dan Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) di Kompleks Sukan Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra, UniMAP, malam kelmarin.
