Lee Dan Lim Tidak Gentar Hadapi Beregu Kembar Dari China Pada Kejohanan Dunia 2014


COPENHAGEN (Denmark), 27 Ogos (Bernama) -- Beregu wanita negara, Lee Meng Yean dan Lim Yin Loo optimis mereka mampu melakar kejutan ke atas pasangan kembar dari China, Luo Yu dan Luo Ying pada pusingan kedua Kejohanan Badminton Dunia BWF 2014 di Denmark.

Lim berkata, walaupun pernah kalah dalam dua pertemuan sebelum ini, beliau percaya mereka mampu membuat kejutan ke atas pilihan kelapan itu yang mendapat 'bye' pada pusingan awal kejohanan.

"Kami pernah kalah dua kali kepada kembar dari China itu, namun kami berharap dapat mencipta kemenangan menentang mereka hari ini.

"Kita akan lihat dahulu corak permainan mereka pada set pertama sebelum memikirkan langkah seterusnya," kata Lim kepada pemberita, di sini, pada Selasa.

Mereka sebelum itu menumpaskan wakil England, Gabrielle Adcock dan Lauren Smith, 21-9 dan 21-19 pada perlawanan yang berlangsung di Ballerup Super Arena.

"Saya gembira kerana kita berjaya mengatasi pasangan England itu memandangkan kita pernah kalah kepada mereka sebelum ini, jadi saya rasa sangat gembira," kata Lim.

Dalam pada itu, Lee berpuashati dengan penampilan sulung pada Kejohanan Dunia selepas melakar kemenangan selesa pada pusingan awal kejohanan.

"Saya rasa agak teruja beraksi buat pertama kali pada Kejohanan Dunia dan saya rasa bangga kita dapat layak ke pusingan kedua," kata pemain berusia 20 tahun itu.

Terdahulu, pasangan adik-beradik beregu negara, Ng Hui Lin dan Ng Hui Ern menempah slot ke pusingan kedua selepas mengalahkan beregu Nigeria, Tosin Damilola Atolagbe dan Fatima Azeez, 21-4 dan 21-10.

Mereka bagaimanapun bakal berdepan ujian getir pada Rabu, berdepan pilihan ke-14 dari Belanda, Eefje Muskens dan Selena Piek pada yang mendapat 'bye' pada pusingan awal kejohanan.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
