Loh Gagal Sumbang Pingat Pada Hari Penutup Cabaran YOG 2014



NANJING, 27 Ogos (Bernama) -- Penerjun pelapis negara, Loh Zhiayi gagal menyumbang pingat pada hari terakhir cabaran temasya Sukan Olimpik Remaja (YOG 2014) edisi kedua selepas menduduki tempat ketujuh acara terjun berkumpulan antarabangsa di Nanjing OSC Natatorium hari ini.

Loh yang digandingkan bersama penerjun Perancis, Jandard Alexis hanya mampu mengumpul 318.20 mata selepas bersaing dengan 11 peserta.

Pingat emas bagi acara itu menjadi milik gandingan bersama Orozco Loza Alejandra (Mexico)/Jensen Daniel (Norway) selepas mereka mengumpul 379.50 mata.

Pingat perak bagi acara itu dikongsi penerjun China, Wu Shengping dan Elkordy Mohab (Mesir) dengan kutipan 374.90 mata, pingat gangsa pula milik Leydon Mahoney Gracia (Amerika Syarikat)/Tkachenko Pylyp (Ukraine) selepas meraih 354.00 mata.

Loh berkata beliau kecewa kerana gagal mempersembahkan aksi terbaik hari ini dan melakukan banyak kesilapan ketika membuat terjunan.

"Saya banyak melakukan kesilapan besar dan ia tidak sepatutnya berlaku dan saya cukup terkilan apabila terlepas peluang untuk mendapat pingat,"katanya kepada Bernama hari ini.

Loh yang sehingga kini mengumpul dua pingat iaitu pingat perak menerusi acara 10m platform individu wanita dan pingat gangsa dari acara 3m papan anjal individu wanita berkata beliau gembira kerana membawa pulang dua pingat untuk diri sendiri dan juga negara.

"Saya ingin mengucapkan terima kasih kepada Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) dan juga Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM) kerana memberi peluang kepada saya untuk beraksi di YOG 2014," katanya.

Loh berkata selepas ini beliau akan meneruskan latihan persiapan di Guangzhou, China bagi latihan persiapan menghadapi cabaran Sukan Asia 2014 di Incheon, Korea Selatan, bulan depan.

Kontinjen negara mengakhiri cabaran di Nanjing dengan membawa pulang satu pingat emas, dua perak dan satu gangsa.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
