Mun Yee Mahu Perbaiki Teknik Terjunan

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 Mac (Bernama) -- Bintang terjun negara Leong Mun Yee mahu terus konsisten dalam terjunan dan menyumbang pingat dalam Kejohanan Terjun Siri Dunia FINA di Kazan, yang dijadual berlangsung pada 24 hingga 26 April ini.

Selepas menghadiahkan satu perak dan satu gangsa pada dua aksi terdahulu bersama gandingannya Cheong Jun Hong, Mun Yee, 30, tekad untuk memantapkan kawalan terjunan individunya.

"Saya mahu memperbaiki terjunan yang kadang kalanya tidak begitu menjadi supaya boleh menambah mata di kejohanan (di Kazan)," katanya.

Beliau berkata demikian kepada Bernama selepas menghadiri majlis pelancaran Logo dan Kira Detik Hari Sukan Negara 2015 yang disempurnakan oleh Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak semalam.

Pada tahun ini Hari Sukan Negara diadakan 10 Okt ini.

Dalam pada itu, atlet yang berasal dari Ipoh, Perak itu berkata dia belum terfikir untuk bersara dan akan terus kekal fokus sehinggalah Sukan Olimpik akan datang.

Selain menyertai kejohanan itu di Kazan, Mun Yee juga akan beraksi bersama pasangannya Jun Hoong di siri kejohanan di London pada 1 hingga 3 Mei.

Mun Yee mengumpul 315.18 mata untuk meraih pingat gangsa dalam acara 10m platform seirama dalam siri kejohanan dunia di Dubai dan meraih pingat perak pada pusingan pertama dalam acara sama di Beijing.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
