Tukar venue latihan ke KL




Kuala Lumpur: Venue kem latihan pusat fasa akhir kontinjen negara menghadapi Sukan SEA Singapura ditukar dari Skudai, Johor ke Kuala Lumpur, kata Ketua Kontinjen Negara, Datuk Seri Mohamad Norza Zakaria.

Beliau berkata, keputusan mengubah venue kem latihan itu dilakukan setelah mengambil kira pandangan persatuan sukan serta Institut Sukan Negara (ISN) bagi mengelak gangguan terhadap persiapan dan latihan atlet.

Latihan pusat fasa akhir dijadual diadakan di Universiti Teknoloji Malaysia (UTM) Skudai dari 28 hingga 30 Mei ini.

Bagaimanapun, Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) akan menentukan venue di Kuala Lumpur dengan tarikh baru dari 22 hingga 24 Mei ini, katanya selepas mesyuarat pengurus pasukan bersama atlet dan pegawai daripada beberapa persatuan sukan di ISN, semalam.

Sukan SEA Singapura akan bermula secara rasmi dari 5 hingga 16 Jun ini.

Dalam pada itu, Norza berkata, keputusan tidak meletakkan sasaran pingat pada temasya sukan dwitahunan itu disebabkan peluang meraih pingat dalam sesuatu acara sukan adalah berbeza.
“Namun, bagi atlet elit, sasaran pingat itu harus dicapai berbanding dengan atlet pelapis kerana (kita) mahu bantu momentum mereka apabila Kuala Lumpur menjadi tuan rumah Sukan SEA pada 2017,” katanya.

Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM) dijangka memuktamadkan senarai akhir kontinjen negara pada edisi ke-28 temasya sukan itu penghujung bulan ini.

Jawatankuasa Penganjur Sukan SEA Singapura (SINGSOC) sudah memutuskan untuk mempertandingkan 37 sukan termasuk memperkenal acara baharu iaitu ‘floorball’ yang menyerupai sukan hoki selain menggugurkan acara karate.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
