Khairy mahu S.kumar kembali positif beri sumbangan kepada Negara


KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Jun (Bernama) -- Menteri Belia dan Sukan Khairy Jamaluddin mahu penjaga gol skuad hoki kebangsaan S. Kumar untuk kembali positif dan terus memberi khidmat kepada sukan hoki negara.

"Saya tahu ini adalah cabaran yang begitu besar sekali buat Kumar dan keluarga. Namun demikian, segalanya sudah ditakdirkan.

"Saya berharap setelah beliau dapat meluangkan masa bersama-sama keluarga, beliau akan terus positif dan terus menyumbang kepada negara," katanya kepada pemberita ketika melawat Kumar di kediamannya di Taman Puncak Jalil hari ini.

Pada 18 Jun lepas, Kumar yang dalam persediaan menghadapi kejohanan Liga Hoki Dunia (HWL) di Belgium dikejutkan dengan berita kematian anak bongsunya Harshenn di Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

Berikutan tu, penjaga gol berusia 36 tahun itu dibawa kembali ke tanah air dan menarik diri daripada kejohanan itu yang juga merupakan kelayakan ke Sukan Olimpik 2017 di Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Sementara itu, Kumar ketika ditemui berkata beliau serta keluarga amat berterima kasih kepada Khairy atas lawatan serta kata-kata semangat yang diberikan untuk beliau dan keluarga.

Kumar turut menjelaskan bahawa beliau dan keluarga masih menunggu laporan perubatan anak bongsunya yang sebelum ini dilaporkan meninggal dunia akibat jangkitan kuman.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
