Shalin ada kelebihan di Las Vegas

Terbabit dalam sirkit pro jadi bekalan ke Kejohanan Dunia

PENGALAMAN beraksi dalam sirkit profesional tahun lalu, mampu memberi kelebihan buat Shalin Zulkifli untuk mengharungi Kejohanan Bowling Wanita Dunia di Las Vegas mulai 24 Julai hingga 2 Ogos ini.

Dengan dirinya adalah pemain pro tunggal negara, harapan tinggi diletakkan kepada bahu Shalin untuk menangani saingan pasukan Amerika Syarikat yang membariskan semua pemain profesional, buat pertama kali dibenarkan dalam acara ini.

“Pengalaman saya beraksi dalam saingan profesional akan membantu saya dalam kejohanan ini memandangkan ia adalah kali pertama pemain profesional dibenarkan untuk menyertainya,” katanya.

Shalin, 31, melihat penampilannya di kancah profesional sebagai banyak membantunya berkembang sebagai pemain. Namun, dia kini dalam keadaan tertanya-tanya sama ada mampu meneruskan pembabitannya tahun ini berikutan permohonan bantuan kewangan masih belum diluluskan Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN).

“Tahun lalu, MSN memberikan RM70,000 bagi membiayai pembabitan saya di sana. Jumlah itu adalah untuk menampung kos penerbangan, penginapan dan penyertaan.

“Tahun ini saya meminta RM100,000 memandangkan saya akan menyertai lebih banyak kejohanan kali ini,” katanya.

Keadaannya dirumitkan berikutan pihaknya melepaskan hak milik pusat bowling yang diasaskannya sebelum ini, Pin Junction, Mutiara Damansara kepada ayah saudaranya awal tahun ini.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
