Tiga anakanda Tuanku Mizan sertai Maraton KL

KUALA LUMPUR - Tiga anakanda Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin menyertai larian Kids Dash, program sampingan dalam perlumbaan larian Standard Chartered KL Marathon 2009 di Dataran Merdeka di sini semalam.

Puteri sulung Tuanku Mizan, Tengku Nadhirah Zahrah, 12, mengambil bahagian dalam kategori 3 Kilometer (KM) dan dua lagi anakanda Seri Paduka, Tengku Muhammad Muaaz, 8, dan Tengku Fatimatuz Zahra, 7, mengambil bahagian dalam kategori 950 Meter yang disertai oleh lebih 500 orang kanak-kanak.

Tuanku Mizan dan Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah turut berangkat ke Dataran Merdeka untuk memberi sokongan.

Keberangkatan Seri Paduka berdua pada pukul 8.30 pagi itu disambut oleh isteri Perdana Menteri, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Menteri Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat, Senator Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek dan Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan, Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin.

Ketiga-tiga anakanda Tuanku Mizan berjaya menamatkan larian tersebut mengikut kategori yang disertai.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
