Petronas hormati keputusan BMW Sauber

KUALA LUMPUR - Keputusan pasukan Formula Satu (F1) BMW Sauber untuk menarik diri daripada perlumbaan berprestij F1 pada penghujung musim 2009 kelmarin sudah disampaikan secara rasmi kepada penaja premium pasukan tersebut, Petronas, oleh Kumpulan BMW semalam.

Petronas melalui unit sukan bermotor mereka, Petronas Motorsports dalam kenyataan balas mengenai isu itu berkata, mereka menghormati keputusan yang diambil namun akan terus mengambil bahagian dalam arena sukan bermotor secara global.

"Kami menghormati keputusan yang diambil oleh Kumpulan BMW dan perkongsian strategik dalam F1 bersama-sama pasukan BMW Sauber diwujudkan bagi membolehkan objektif pemasaran Petronas melalui peningkatan penjenamaan premium, perolehan kepakaran teknologi termasuk kemampuan usaha pembangunan dalam pelbagai bidang serta mencari peluang perniagaan.

"Kerjasama berkenaan telah berjaya meletakkan jenama Petronas di seluruh dunia dan hasilnya kami memperoleh pengetahuan dan kemahiran teknologi yang amat tinggi selain pembangunan produk," kata kenyataan yang dikeluarkan oleh Pengurusan Komunikasi Petronas Motorsports, semalam.

Untuk itu, kenyataan itu turut berkata, Petronas akan melakukan kajian berterusan mengenai posisi dan penyertaan mereka dalam sukan bermotor.

"Kajian ini akan meneruskan objektif kami untuk memberikan sokongan strategik dalam usaha pengembangan perniagaan kami secara global," kata kenyataan itu lagi.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
