Harimau Muda dalam Liga Super

Skuad B20 ambil tempat dalam Liga Perdana

IDENTITI pasukan kebangsaan yang akan menghiasi kancah Liga Super musim depan terjawab dengan pengumuman Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) untuk menaikkan Harimau Muda dan menggantikannya dengan satu lagi pasukan jelmaan itu pada Liga Perdana.

Pengumuman itu yang dilakukan selepas mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Teknikal semalam, menyaksikan Harimau Muda dibarisi pemain bawah 21 tahun manakala pasukan kebangsaan bawah 20 tahun akan membawa cabaran dalam Liga Perdana.

FAM sebelum ini mengumumkan akan menyenaraikan satu pasukan kebangsaan masing-masing dalam dua divisyen teratas negara tetapi menolak cadangan juara Liga Perdana, Harimau Muda akan dinaikkan ke Liga Super untuk mengisi salah satu tempat itu dengan alasan mereka adalah pasukan jemputan.

Menurut Timbalan Presiden FAM, Datuk Redzuan Sheikh Ahmad, langkah itu akan menyaksikan skuad negara diwakili pada setiap peringkat umur dengan matlamat utama adalah untuk menyediakan pasukan bawah 20 tahun menghadapi peringkat kelayakan Olimpik tahun depan.

"Terdapat pemain Harimau Muda sekarang yang sudah meningkat umur, jadi kami akan mengambil muka baru untuk mengisi kekosongan itu jika ia menjadi realiti, " katanya.

Kemasukan Harimau Muda akan menjadikan jumlah pasukan Liga Super kepada 15, bergantung kepada tarikh akhir pendaftaran pasukan yang bakal dimuktamadkan 15 Oktober depan.

Sementara itu, jurulatih kebangsaan, S Rajagobal terpaksa melupakan khidmat tonggak sayap, Mohd Khyrill Muhymeen Zambri untuk kunjungan ke Arab Saudi hujung minggu ini, berikutan kecederaan.

Selain Khyrill, Rajagobal juga terpaksa ke Riyadh hari ini tanpa pemain tengah, Amar Rohidan dan rakan sepasukannya di Perlis, Mazlizam Mohd yang membentuk barisan pertahanan akhir buat skuad negara, selepas dilanda demam teruk sebaik pulang dari Palembang.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
