Dakwaan boling padang atur perlawanan tidak wujud


KUALA LUMPUR - Selepas beberapa bulan menjalankan siasatan, Persekutuan Lawn Bowls Malaysia (PLBM) mendapati dakwaan terhadap seorang pegawai yang dikatakan cuba mengatur perlawanan tidak wujud.

PLBM dalam satu kenyataan ringkas kepada media semalam berkata, keputusan itu dicapai jawatankuasa siasatan bebas yang dilantik pada awal tahun ini selepas menerima aduan beberapa pemain.

"Saya dengan sukacita ingin memaklumkan, jawatankuasa siasatan telah menyimpulkan bahawa cubaan mengatur perlawanan tidak wujud dalam PLBM.

"PLBM bagaimanapun menghargai kebimbangan masyarakat sukan dan World Bowls (badan boling padang dunia) mengenai perkara ini, dan kami juga mengiktiraf kesimpulan yang dibuat oleh Jawatankuasa Siasatan,'' kata Presiden PLBM, Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid dalam kenyataan itu.

Menurut PLBM lagi untuk mencapai satu keputusan yang telus dan tidak berat sebelah, badan itu telah melantik personaliti yang memiliki pengalaman serta latar belakang berkaitan untuk menjalankan siasatan.

Panel tersebut terdiri daripada bekas Presiden Mahkamah Rayuan, Tan Sri Lamin Mohd. Yunus (kini hakim di Mahkamah Jenayah Antarabangsa Hague), bekas Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Badan Pencegah Rasuah (pencegahan), Mohd. Nordin Ahmad dan Makmor Md. Yassin, pesara Asisten Supritendan polis.

Sementara itu, Norhashimah Ismail, salah seorang daripada dua pemain kebangsaan yang membuat dakwaan itu bersama Siti Zalina Ahmad enggan mengulas lanjut mengenai keputusan panel siasatan.

"Saya tiada komen tetapi saya menghormati keputusan yang dibuat,'' ujar Norhashimah ketika dihubungi. - UTUSAN

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
