Cadangan tubuh Taekwondo Malaysia bukan jalan terbaik

KUALA LUMPUR - Cadangan menubuhkan badan baru - Taekwondo Malaysia (TM) untuk menyelia aktiviti sukan itu di negara ini dianggap bukan jalan terbaik menyelesaikan isu taekwando tanah air.

Salah satu ahli gabungan yang enggan dikenali berkata, kewujudan Persatuan Taekwondo Malaysia (MTA) tidak boleh diketepikan begitu saja, kerana mereka mewakili lebih 300,000 ahli, malah mendakwa badan itu tidak melakukan kesalahan yang menyalahi peraturan.

Katanya, MTA juga telah mengikut segala prosedur yang diarahkan oleh Pejabat Pesuruhjaya Sukan untuk membolehkan penggantungan mereka dibatalkan, termasuk mengadakan Mesyuarat Agung Luar Biasa (EGM).


Ini katanya, menunjukkan bahawa suara majoriti ahli gabungan MTA pada EGM, 24 Oktober lalu tidak dihormati, biarpun lapan daripada sembilan persatuan negeri menerima perlembagaan baru yang membabitkan tiga pindaan.

Kecewa dengan tindakan Pesuruhjaya Sukan membubarkan Jawatankuasa Ad-Hoc MTA bagi memberi laluan kepada pembentukan Jawatankuasa Penaja TM, ahli-ahli gabungan MTA akan mengadakan perjumpaan pada 1 Februari ini untuk mencari tindakan lanjut yang bakal diambil.
"Penubuhan badan baru ini tidak menyelesaikan masalah, sebaliknya mengusutkan lagi masalah. Sekarang kita ada satu masalah baru.

"Mengapa hendak menubuhkan persatuan baru (TM), sedangkan hanya MTA yang diiktiraf Persekutuan Taekwondo Dunia (WTF).
"MTA sudah ditubuhkan sejak lebih 30 tahun dan mempunyai lebih 300,000 ahli, bagaimana mungkin mereka boleh ketepikan,'' katanya. UTUSAN

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
