Pengadil Malaysia angkat imej guru sekolah


Muhyiddin Yassin menyampaikan replika Piala Dunia kepada Subkhiddin Mohd. Salleh yang akan menjadi pengadil di pusingan akhir Piala Dunia 2010 dekat Afrika Selatan semasa mengunjungi Putrajaya, semalam. - BERNAMA

PUTRAJAYA - Subkhiddin Mohd. Salleh, rakyat Malaysia pertama menjadi pengadil Piala Dunia yang bermula di Afrika Selatan bulan depan, semalam mengunjungi Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin di sini.

Subkhiddin, 44, guru Sekolah Menengah Vokasional Nibong Tebal di Pulau Pinang, menemui Muhyuiddin yang juga Menteri Pelajaran, di pejabat beliau di Kementerian Pelajaran di sini, bagi melahirkan penghargaan terhadap sokongan kerajaan kepadanya.
Bercakap kepada pemberita selepas itu, Subkhiddin berkata, Muhyiddin memberikan nasihat supaya beliau sentiasa mengekalkan tahap kecergasan dan berusaha lebih gigih untuk membuktikan golongan pengajar juga boleh menjadi pengadil yang baik.

"Saya berasa sangat bangga kerana dapat mewakili negara dan mewakili warga pendidikan," katanya.
Subkhiddin, yang berasal dari Butterworth, mula menjadi pengadil bola sepak pada 1990 dan diiktiraf ke peringkat antarabangsa oleh FIFA pada 2000. - BERNAMA
