Pemangku Raja Terengganu curi tumpuan


AKSI Tengku Muhammad Ismail Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin pada Kejohanan Kuda Lasak Corlay RTES/D"Armor Terbuka Perancis yang berakhir, Ahad lalu.

KUALA LUMPUR - Sukan Malaysia melakar satu lagi pencapaian membanggakan di pentas antarabangsa, apabila Pemangku Raja Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin menamatkan saingan di tempat kedua pada Kejohanan Kuda Lasak Corlay RTES/D"Armor Terbuka Perancis yang berakhir, Ahad lalu. 

Tengku Muhammad Ismail muncul naib juara bagi kategori 90 kilometer.

Kejohanan tersebut turut diiringi Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah serta empat penunggang dari Malaysia, termasuk Tengku Sri Temenggong Raja Terengganu, Tengku Baharuddin Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah.

Baginda yang menunggang Melchoir D'Ecovers menamatkan saingan dalam masa 6 jam 6 minit, 41 saat untuk menduduki tempat kedua di kalangan 15 peserta.

Dua lagi penunggang negara yang berjaya menamatkan saingan iaitu Abdul Asri 6'6:44s menghuni tempat kelima, manakala Nor Nadia di tempat keenam dengan masa 6'25:09s.

Kejohanan tersebut dimenangi Le Bleis Gildas yang menunggang kuda bernama Kalifth, dengan catatan masa 5'26: 59s.

Ini merupakan penyertaan kali kedua Tengku Muhammad Ismail di peringkat antarabangsa selepas menyertai kejohanan yang sama dalam kategori 60km tahun lalu.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
