ISN guna biomekanik untuk taekwondo

INSTITUT Sukan Negara (ISN) bercadang untuk memperluaskan penggunaan aplikasi teknologi sains sukan biomekanik bagi membantu mempertingkatkan prestasi atlet taekwondo negara.
Ketua Pengarahnya, Datuk Dr. Ramlan Abdul Aziz berkata aplikasi tersebut yang pada awalnya digunakan bagi membantu skuad bola sepak negara akan diperluaskan penerapannya kepada atlet taekwondo, bermula awal tahun hadapan.

"Daripada kajian yang ISN lakukan kepada skuad bola sepak, didapati bahawa teknologi ini banyak membantu pemain mencapai tahap kecergasan yang diinginkan oleh jurulatih," kata- nya.
Dr. Ramlan berkata, pada peringkat awal, teknologi tersebut akan digunakan untuk membantu beberapa orang atlet elit taekwondo sebelum diterapkan secara menyeluruh.

Beliau berkata, ISN mempunyai kepakaran dan peralatan yang terkini bagi menjayakan usaha ini yang dapat membantu atlet taekwondo negara memperbaiki teknik mereka berdasarkan data yang dikumpul.
"Teknologi ini mampu membantu jurulatih dan pakar sains sukan menilai aspek taktikal perlawanan dalam jangka masa singkat," katannya.

Beliau berkata, teknologi tersebut telah lama digunakan oleh negara-negara maju dan Malaysia tidak seharusnya ketinggalan jika ingin bersaing.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
