KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- Lawn bowling queen Siti Zalina Ahmad is free from injuries and ready to knock down her third Commonwealth Games gold medal in New Delhi.
Malaysian Lawn Bowls Association deputy president Jamal Abdul Nasir Bakar said Siti Zalina has fully recovered from injury after a minor surgery.
"The treatment at National Sports Institute has been good. I am confident that Siti Zalina will do well in New Delhi," the lawn bowling team manager told Bernama here Thursday.
World number four Siti Zalina suffered an injury in a warm up competition in Paroi, Seremban four months ago.
Jamal said Siti Zalina had told him that she would do her best to capture her third gold to make it a hattrick.
Siti Zalina won two gold medals at Melbourne (2006) and Manchester (2002) Commonwealth Games.
The lawn bowls team will be the first to leave for New Delhi tomorrow.
