Skuad Negara Perlu Kekal Rentak Serangan Esok - Raja Ahmad Zainuddin

IPOH, 28 Dis (Bernama) -- Pasukan bola sepak negara yang menewaskan pasukan negara jiran Indonesia 3-0 Ahad lepas perlu mengekalkan rentak menyerang dalam perlawanan akhir kedua Piala Suzuki AFF 2010, yang akan berlangsung di Stadium Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta Rabu.

Anggota Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Persatuan Bolasepak Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Seri Raja Ahmad Zainuddin berkata skuad 'Harimau Malaya' bakal berhadapan serangan bertali arus skuad 'Garuda' dalam perlawanan yang dijangka sengit.

"Saya percaya skuad negara mempunyai harapan besar memastikan misi berjaya tetapi harus mengekalkan prestasi sepanjang 90 minit perlawanan. Perlawanan yang dimenangi di tempat sendiri sebelum ini berbeza dengan tempat lawan. Semua pemain harus sedar permainan di tempat lawan adalah berbeza dan mereka harus memastikan kesihatan mental dan fizikal berada di tahap terbaik," katanya kepada Bernama di sini Selasa.

Raja Ahmad, yang juga bekas Naib Presiden FAM, berkata skuad negara tidak seharusnya berasa selesa dengan kelebihan tiga gol yang diraih menerusi perlawanan akhir pertama Ahad lepas.

"Jangan letakkan pasukan dalam keadaan selesa kerana kita pernah ditewaskan 1-5 sebelum ini... terlalu banyak implikasi akan timbul ketika bermain di tempat lawan," katanya.

Raja Ahmad berkata seluruh rakyat Malaysia menunggu kehadiran piala itu dengan penuh harapan dan jika memenanginya maka ia pertama kali dibawa ke Malaysia selaku juara.

"Ini merupakan kali kedua pasukan negara layak ke perlawanan akhir. Saya menyeru warganegara Malaysia yang tinggal di sekitar Jakarta dan Bandung untuk turun memberi sokongan kepada pasukan negara esok," katanya.

Semangat kesukanan yang ditunjukkan rakyat Indonesia semasa perlawanan akhir pertama di Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil wajar dicontohi masyarakat Malaysia di sana, katanya.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
