CHENNAI: Five-time world champion Nicol David will lead the World Cup squash mixed team event championship next month, where nine countries have confirmed participation.
After a lapse of 11 years, the Squash Racquets Federation of India (SRFI) will host the five-day event, beginning March 8, at the newly-built Express Avenue in Chennai.
“This is the revival of the world cup since the inaugural event was last held in Malaysia in 1996. “World No 1 Nicol David, along with the top 10 players in the world will be participating,” Major (rtd) S. Maniam, the Chennai-based SRFI consultant coach, said.
