Misbun 'membisu seribu bahasa'

BAM harap keputusan muktamad diputus elak jejas tumpuan Chong Wei

WALAUPUN kemelut peletakan jawatan Datuk Misbun Sidek (gambar) bukan agenda perbincangan pada mesyuarat majlis Persatuan Badminton Malaysia (BAM), Jumaat ini, tetapi sebahagian besar ahli majlis badan induk itu mahu ia dinoktahkan segera.
Mereka berpendapat kemelut yang berlarutan tiga bulan tanpa jalan penyelesaian itu perlu ditamatkan pada hari itu dan BAM perlu membuat keputusan muktamad walaupun Misbun dikatakan masih ‘membisu seribu bahasa’.
Naib Presiden BAM, Datuk Syed Abu Bakar Abdullah, berkata dia berharap satu keputusan muktamad dapat diputuskan berhubung kemelut itu bagi mengelakkan ia terus berlarutan dan menjejaskan tumpuan Lee Chong Wei.

“Sampai bila kita perlu membincangkan kemelut ini sedangkan di depan kita menanti cabaran lebih besar dan penting,” soalnya, semalam.

Dia yang juga Presiden Persatuan Badminton Terengganu berkata, walaupun kemelut itu tidak disenaraikan sebagai agenda yang akan dibincangkan tetapi dia yakin ia akan ditimbulkan ahli majlis menerusi perkara berbangkit.

Sementara itu, Setiausaha Kehormat Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM), Datuk Sieh Kok Chi berkata BAM perlu membuat keputusan muktamad. “BAM sudah menyerahkan ‘bulu tangkis’ kepadanya tetapi dia belum mengembalikannya semula,” katanya

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM
