Jesper Pledges To Give His Best Performance For Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Former Manchester United player, Jesper Blomqvist has promised to give his best for Selangor when they face a Singapore Selection in the 10th edition of the Sultan Selangor Cup this Saturday at Shah Alam Stadium.

Jesper, 37, who arrived in Kuala Lumpur Thursday, said he would all do he could to help Selangor recapture the the trophy from 'The Lions'.

"Tomorrow, I will join the training with the Selangor team and meet my team mates first.

"Then, I will see what I can contribute to the team," he told reporters, here, today.

Asked on his position this Saturday, Jesper said it was up to Selangor coach, P. Maniam to decide.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
