LTdL: Anuar Closing Gap On Guardini For Blue Jersey

BATU PAHAT, Feb 26 (Bernama) -- National rider Anuar Manan is closing the gap on leader Andrea Guardini from Farnese Vini-Selle Italia team in the sprint category vying for the blue jersey in Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2012.

After completing the third stage from Melaka to Parit Sulong Sunday, Anuar, who represented the Hong Kong-based Champion System finished with only four points behind the Italian rider.

Anuar, 25, has so far collected 26 points while Guardini took the lead with 30 points after three stages of the race.

In the third stage covering 187.6km, Anuar was adjudged the best Malaysian rider when he finished third while Guardini who claimed his second victory.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
