KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 23 (Bernama) -- The SEA Games Federation (SGF) has given the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) two weeks to conduct a hearing on national weightlifter Firdaus Abdul Razak and 4x400 runner Mohd Yunus Lasalleh who failed their dope tests after winning medals at the Indonesia SEA Games last November.
OCM President Tan Sri Tunku Imran Tuanku Ja'afar said the President of SGF who was the president of the Indonesian SEA Games Organising Committee (Inasoc) Rita Subowo has also instructed OCM to present a full report on the the hearing to SGF.
"We will call both athletes, whose sample A and B had tested positive, for a hearing soon," he told reporters after chairing the an OCM special meeting here, Thursday.
On Dec 21, Inasoc had informed OCM that the Sample A of Mohd Yunus, a member of the 4x400m gold medal winning quartet and Firdaus, winner of a bronze medal in the 105kg weight category, had tested positive while the result of their B Sample had also proven positive.
Tunku Imran said OCM will send the full report to SGF upon completion of the hearing.
