SHAH ALAM, April 28 (Bernama) -- Malayan Tigers lived up to
expectations when they ran ring all over Sri Lanka to trash them 6-0 in
an international friendly at the Shah Alam Stadium Saturday night.
Playing before some 5,000 partisan supporters, Malayan Tigers, who were in control of the game, led 2-0 at half time.
Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor opened scoring in the 24th minute and was on target again two minutes later after connecting a long pass from Mohd Safee Mohd Sali. Malayan Tigers went on a goal-scoring spree in the second half, starting with Ahmad Hazwan Bakri who found the net in two quick successions in the 71st and 81st minute.
Azamuddin Mohd Akil increased the scoreline to 5-0 before Ahmad Hazwan completed a hattrick when he nodded the ball into the net during extra time.
National chief coach Datuk K. Rajagobal said he was happy and satisfied with the overall performance of his players who romped home to an easy victory.
