Serah tugas Presiden KOM berlangsung mesra

KUALA LUMPUR - Majlis penyerahan tugas kepada Presiden Kesatuan Olahraga Malaysia (KOM) yang baru Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad oleh bekas pemimpin badan induk sukan olahraga kebangsaan Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim berlangsung dalam suasana mesra dan lancar, semalam.

Tiada sebarang isu dibangkitkan dalam pertemuan itu, walaupun sebelum ini Zainal meluahkan rasa kecewa ekoran tindakan Shahidan yang terus meninggalkan lokasi Pemilihan Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan (AGM) KOM Ke-10 di Dewan Komanwel Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN), Ahad lalu.

Sementara itu, berhubung laporan siasatan terhadap bekas Timbalan Presiden KOM, Datuk Karim Ibrahim yang dikaitkan dengan isu doping dan petisyen, Zainal sekadar berkata: "Saya baru baca muka surat depan sahaja".

Katanya, dia baru sahaja menerima laporan kes itu daripada Shahidan pada majlis penyerahan tugas semalam.

Laporan tersebut akan dibentangkan dalam mesyuarat majlis KOM 11 Oktober ini.
"Mungkin selepas habis mesyuarat majlis saya akan adakan sidang akhbar. Setakat ini tiada apa yang saya fikirkan lagi.

"Selepas ini satu perjumpaan dengan jurulatih dan atlet turut bakal diatur," kata Zainal.
