Jawatankuasa Khas Bincang Isu Skim Imbuhan Atlet Paralimpik Ditubuhkan

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Okt (Bernama) -- Satu jawatankuasa khas akan ditubuhkan untuk mengkaji secara terperinci isu skim imbuhan tetap untuk atlet paralimpik, kata Menteri Belia dan Sukan Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek.

Beliau berkata jawatankuasa yang akan dianggotai wakil Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia (MPM) dan Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) itu antara lain akan mengambil kira pandangan semua pihak sebelum mengemukakan cadangan kepada kementerian.

"Apabila tiada imbuhan tetap, dikatakan kita tidak memberi layanan sama rata kepada atlet paralimpik. Ini tidak benar.

"Sebenarnya, kita telah banyak beri sokongan kepada sukan paralimpik bahkan lebih baik daripada kebanyakan negara jiran," kata Ahmad Shabery selepas mempengerusikan mesyuarat Lembaga Pengurus MSN di sini Isnin.

Beliau berkata MPM perlu meneruskan usaha mempopularkan sukan paralimpik dalam kalangan masyarakat selain memastikan atlet berkenaan meraih lebih banyak kejayaan di peringkat antarabangsa.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
