KBS Belum Terima Kertas Cadangan Penganjuran Sukan SEA

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 Okt (Bernama) -- Kementerian Belia dan Sukan masih belum menerima sebarang kertas kerja cadangan daripada Majlis Olimpik Malaysia (MOM) berhubung penganjuran Sukan SEA 2017.

Menteri Belia dan Sukan Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek berkata pihaknya memerlukan laporan terperinci mengenai cadangan itu untuk dibincangkan di peringkat Kabinet.

"Setakat ini, saya hanya mendengar melalui media bahawa Setiausaha Agung MOM akan mengemukakan kertas kerja tersebut. Kita memerlukan satu laporan (Sukan SEA) yang terperinci," katanya selepas mempengerusikan Mesyuarat Lembaga Pengurus Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) di sini, Isnin.

MOM sebelum ini bercadang menganjurkan Sukan SEA 2017 sebagai mematuhi sistem giliran yang ditetapkan Persekutuan Sukan SEA, namun pada peringkat awalnya ia tidak dipersetujui oleh KBS kerana dikhuatiri melibatkan perbelanjaan yang besar.

Ahmad Shabery berkata mesyuarat itu turut menetapkan 28 Jun hingga 7 Julai sebagai tarikh penganjuran Sukan Malaysia (Sukma) ke-16 di Kuala Lumpur tahun depan yang bersamaan dengan cuti institusi pengajian tinggi.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
