KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 22 (Bernama) -- Shuttler Datuk Lee Chong Wei's
selection of life partner, Wong Mew Choo, a former national shuttler,
has been well received by his family members.
Chong Wei's brother Lee Chong Hoon said family members, especially his parents, were happy with Chong Wei's decision to wed Mew Choo after courting for almost 12 years.
"My mother is very happy and the whole family is excited about the wedding because they (Chong Wei and Mew Choo) will be united after all these years," he told reporters when announcing the couple's wedding ploans at Chong Wei's office in Bandar Puteri, Puchong Monday.
However, both Chong Wei and Mew Choo were not present.
Chong Wei who clinched the Denmark Open men's singles title last night has yet to return while Mew Choo chose not to attend without her would be husband's presence.
Chong Hoon said the wedding reception would be held on Nov 9 (Friday) and Nov 10 (Saturday) at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Ministers and corporate leaders, both here and abroad have been invited for the Nov 9 reception while the Nov 10 reception is for family members and friends, he said.
