KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 (Bernama) -- All 170 special flight tickets
allocated by AirAsia for the AFF Suzuki Cup second leg match between
Malaysia and Thailand in Bangkok Thursday have been snapped up.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports' Corporate Communications Unit spokesman Nik Mohd Fitra Wan Jaafar said the RM500 flight packages offered for fans who wished to travel to Bangkok and support the national team, were snapped up by 12 noon today.
"The response was overwhelming because all the tickets were sold out in less than two days. We will now send the list of names to AirAsia," he said when contacted by Bernama.
He added that the flight package (RM500) to Bangkok included the flight ticket, special bus to the Supachalasai Stadium in Bangkok, match ticket, seven kilogramme baggage allowance and in-flight meals.
Asked if the ministry and AirAsia would decide to add any more flights since the response was good, Nik Mohd Fitra said there were no such plans yet.
