Harimau Malaya tidak panik

BANGKOK - "Tidak ada apa-apa yang perlu dirisaukan pemain-pemain saya. Kita tunggu sahaja perlawanan (malam ini)."

Itu reaksi pengendali Harimau Malaya, Datuk K. Rajagobal yang kekal tenang menjelang aksi separuh akhir kedua kempen Piala Suzuki AFF 2012 berdepan Thailand di Stadium Supachalasai di sini malam ini.

Biarpun kelebihan peraturan tempat gol di tempat lawan dilihat lebih memihak kepada Thailand selepas kedua-dua pasukan seri 1-1 pada aksi separuh akhir pertama di Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil, Ahad lalu, Rajagobal tidak mahu anak- anak buahnya tertekan dengan situasi itu.

Selain itu, perang psikologi lawan ekoran padang latihan yang teruk juga disifatkan Rajagobal sebagai dugaan yang perlu dikendalikan dengan cukup matang oleh anak-anak buahnya.

"Kami perlu berfikiran positif, kegagalan menjalani latihan sempurna gara-gara masalah padang juga bukan satu alasan.

"Masih ada 90 minit buat kami. Bagi saya, tiada apa yang mustahil dan perlawanan ini pastinya cukup mendebarkan," kata Rajagobal pada sidang akhbar di Hotel Golden Tulip Sovereign di sini semalam.
Pada masa sama, Rajagobal juga percaya anak-anak buahnya tidak gentar dengan sokongan lebih 20,000 penyokong Thailand yang dijangka membanjiri Stadium Supachalasai malam ini.

"Kita sudah ada pengalaman beraksi menentang mereka dalam perlawanan persahabatan di Bangkok (7 November lalu), jadi ia bukan satu masalah buat kami," katanya.

Mengenai status barisan kesebelasan utamanya, Rajagobal memberitahu, setakat ini setiap pemain bersedia untuk diturunkan kecuali Shakir Shaari dan Wan Zack Haikal Wan Nor.

"Pemain seperti Khyril Muhymeen (Zambri) dan S. Kunanlan juga sudah bebas daripada kecederaan," katanya yang masih berteka-teki mengenai formasi dan kesebelasan utama Harimau Malaya malam ini.
Dalam pada itu, masalah padang latihan terus menyelubungi kem Harimau Malaya apabila terpaksa menggunakan padang lain pada saat-saat akhir malam tadi.

Ia ekoran latihan akhir kedua- dua pasukan tidak dapat dijalankan di Stadium Supachalasai bagi menjaga kualiti padang demi perlawanan malam ini.

Disebabkan itu, latihan Harimau Malaya malam tadi terpaksa diadakan di Stadium Dhebhasadin yang terletak di sebelah Stadium Supachalasai manakala lokasi sesi latihan skuad Thailand pula dirahsiakan daripada pengetahuan media.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
