LTDL: Guardini Kembali Ke LTDL Bersama Astana

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 Dis (Bernama) -- Buat tahun ketiga berturut-turut, Andrea Guardini sekali lagi merupakan antara bintang berbasikal yang akan memeriahkan perlumbaan Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2013 , tetapi kali ini, dia datang bersama Pro Team Astana, bukan lagi dengan pasukan Pro Continental, Farnese Vini.

Guardini berkata Le Tour de Langkawi merupakan "perlumbaan yang amat dekat di hati saya".

"Saya sukakan kehangatan negara ini dan rakyatnya. Keseluruhan suasana perlumbaan ini memberi rangsangan hebat kepada saya. Apabila saya berbincang tentang kontrak baharu saya dengan Astana, tidak sukar untuk mencapai persetujuan kerana hakikatnya saya akan mengambil bahagian dalam Le Tour de Langkawi sekali lagi.

"Pihak pengurusan pasukan dengan terus terang menyatakan kepada saya bahawa perlumbaan ini sangat penting bagi Astana, kerana kami merupakan satu-satunya Pro Team dari Asia," kata Guardini dalam kenyataan yang dikeluarkan penganjur perlumbaan di sini Rabu.

Penunggang berusia 23 tahun dari Itali ini merupakan penunggang pertama yang merangkul kemenangan dalam enam peringkat pada edisi tahun lepas dan penunggang yang paling banyak meraih kemenangan dalam sejarah LTdL iaitu 11 kemenangan.

Bagaimanapun, Guardini berkata dia sedar cabaran lebih sengit yang terpaksa dihadapi pada LTdL 2013 berikutan penyertaan lebih banyak pasukan Pro Team.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
