PABM Akan Kemuka Surat Cadangan Tarikh AGM

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 Dis (Bernama) -- Persatuan Angkat Berat Malaysia (PABM) akan mengemukakan surat berhubung cadangan tarikh mesyuarat agung tahunannya (AGM) kepada Pesuruhjaya Sukan Datuk Mohd Yassin Mohd Salleh dalam masa terdekat.

"Dalam masa dua atau tiga hari lagi, kami akan menghantar surat kepada Pesuruhjaya Sukan bagi menetapkan tarikh AGM," kata Presiden PABM Zafarul Akhbar Kassim kepada pemberita selepas mesyuarat exco PABM di sini Rabu.

Menurutnya, dua tarikh yang dicadangkan pada mesyuarat hari ini ialah sebelum atau selepas tempoh yang diarah Pesuruhjaya Sukan.

Mohd Yassin sebelum ini dilaporkan meminta badan induk itu mengadakan AGM sebelum akhir bulan ini. PABM sepatutnya mengadakan AGM Mac lepas.

PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal yesterday sentenced former athletics coach C. Ramanathan to 12 months' jail for molesting two junior athletes 19 years ago. A three-man bench led by Datuk Mohd Hishamudin Mohd Yunus unanimously dismissed Ramanathan's appeal against conviction, but varied the jail sentence of four years to a year, which was to run concurrently. Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM
