Permaisuri Agong Participates In Golf Championship

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 (Bernama) -- The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah Saturday took part in the two-day women's golf championship 'Kedah International Red Tee Golf Invitation 2012', at the The Mines Resort & Golf Club here.

Her arrival at 7.30am was received by the competition chairman, Tunku Puteri Datuk Seri Jawahir Tuanku Ja'afar and head organiser Datuk Rosli Awang before tee-off at 8am.

Rosli said the championship was aimed at promoting Malaysia as an international golf destination to lure more tourists to the country.

The event, which was organised by the Malaysian Ladies' Golf Association (Malga), was the third since 2010 but held for the first time outside Kedah.

The event was also included in the promotion web site of the Tourism Ministry of Malaysia.

More than 60 amatuer women golfers comprising businesswomen and dignitaries from Croatia, Korea, England and Malaysia took part in the championship.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed.
