Cari pendedahan bermanfaat: Zolkples


Kota Bharu: “Jika mahu beri pendedahan sekalipun, biarlah betul-betul memberi manfaat,” kata Ketua Pengarah Majlis Sukan Negara Malaysia Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong.
Beliau diminta memberi reaksi berhubung persediaan pasukan bola sepak kebangsaan kendalian Datuk K Rajagobal yang ingin memperkukuhkan pasukan bagi melayakkan diri ke Piala Asia 2015 dan mengadakan perlawanan persahabatan menentang tiga kelab di Australia bulan depan.

Bagaimanapun persediaan itu menjadi tumpuan banyak pihak malah ada yang menyifatkannya sebagai satu pembaziran dan sekadar rombongan melancong.
Zolkples berkata, Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) tidak sepatutnya mengeluarkan perbelanjaan besar untuk mengadakan perlawanan persahabatan dengan kelab luar negara yang hanya dibarisi pemain remaja.

“Kita perlu terima hakikat ranking pasukan bola sepak negara kita di tahap rendah namun pendedahan diberikan biarlah memberi manfaat untuk jangka masa panjang.

“Jika pergi tanpa manfaat ia satu pembaziran. Pada pendapat saya, banyak lagi kelab yang tahapnya lebih tinggi di Australia yang kita boleh atur perlawanan persahabatan,” katanya pada sidang media selepas meninjau Kejohanan Angkat Berat Kebangsaan bawah 16 dan 12 tahun di Majlis Sukan Negeri (MSN) di Telipot, semalam.
Skuad Harimau Malaya sepatutnya berdepan juara Piala AFF 2012, Singapura pada 4 dan 7 Jun ini namun terpaksa dibatalkan.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
