Khairy Sedia Jumpa FAM Bincang Masa Depan Bola Sepak Negara

PUTRAJAYA, 19 Jun (Bernama) -- Menteri Belia dan Sukan Khairy Jamaluddin berkata beliau bersikap terbuka untuk mengadakan pertemuan dengan Persatuan Bola Sepak Malaysia (FAM) bagi membincangkan secara lebih serius mengenai masa depan bola sepak negara.

Katanya beliau menyambut baik hasrat Naib Presiden FAM Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin yang bercadang mengaturkan perjumpaan antara badan induk bola sepak kebangsaan itu dengan beliau, namun menegaskan agar perbincangan itu akan membabitkan mereka yang mempunyai kuasa membuat keputusan bagi kedua-dua pihak.

"Saya nak dengar daripada peringkat (pemimpin) yang tinggi (dalam FAM) seperti imbalan Presiden FAM Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah...pemimpin tertinggi FAM) yang mempunyai kuasa.

"Kita nak bincang soal masa depan bola sepak negara, saya nak bersemuka dengan FAM dan tidak menerusi media...perjumpaan itu biarlah mereka yang ada kuasa untuk membuat keputusan," katanya kepada pemberita selepas majlis penajaan Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) ke-16, di sini, hari ini.

Hamidin dalam laporan media hari ini berkata FAM dijangka mengadakan perbincangan dengan Khairy bagi menjelaskan situasi terbaru melibatkan badan induk itu serta perancangan program pembangunan bola sepak negara pada masa depan.

Sebelum ini, Khairy dilihat 'patah hati' dengan FAM selepas enggan mengulas berhubung kemelut terbaru yang melanda badan induk itu melibatkan wang tajaan hak penyiaran perlawanan Liga Malaysia (Liga M) kepada persatuan bola sepak negeri-negeri.

Khairy juga dipetik sebagai berkata FAM perlu mendengar pandangan anggota gabungan yang berpengalaman sekiranya tidak mahu mendengar cakapnya yang dianggap sebagai 'menteri hingusan'.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
