MHC mungkin panggil Kevin

Kuala Lumpur: Konfederasi Hoki Malaysia (MHC) tidak menolak kemungkinan menyenaraikan pemain berbakat dari Malaysia yang berpangkalan di Jerman, Kevin Lim ke dalam skuad hoki negara sekiranya tidak berdepan masalah dengan status kewarganegaraan.

Kevin mempunyai asal usul Malaysia dengan bapanya Git San berasal dari Pulau Pinang manakala ibunya, Dagmar warga negara Jerman.

Berusia 28 tahun, pemain yang mewakili Kelab Hoki Berlin itu pernah menyertai skuad kebangsaan Jerman pada 2005.

Setiausaha Agung MHC Datuk Johari Abdul Aziz berkata, pihaknya tidak boleh membuat keputusan tergesa-gesa untuk memanggil Kevin menyertai skuad negara kerana perlu menyemak status kewarganegaraan pemain itu.

“Apa yang boleh saya katakan ialah sehingga kini masih belum ada kata putus mengenai pemain ini kerana status kewarganegaraan perlu disemak dulu.

“Semua ini perlu dilakukan kerana kami tidak mahu timbul sebarang masalah apabila memanggil pemain itu menyertai skuad negara.

“Apapun, dia juga perlu menjalani proses pemilihan terlebih dulu untuk menyertai skuad negara,” katanya.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
