Kem Terjun Sumbang Gangsa Buat Malaysia Pada Hari Kesembilan YOG 2014


NANJING, 25 Ogos (Bernama) -- Kem terjun negara menyumbang pingat gangsa menerusi acara 3m papan anjal individu wanita pada hari kesembilan Temasya Sukan Olimpik Remaja (YOG 2014) kali kedua di sini, Isnin.

Loh Zhiayi meraih pingat gangsa itu selepas mengutip 446.70 mata pada aksi final di Pusat Sukan Nanjing Natatorium.

Dengan kejayaan itu, Malaysia kini mengumpul satu pingat emas, dua perak dan satu gangsa.

Semalam, pemanah pelapis negara Muhamad Zarif Syahiir Zolkifli melengkapkan sasaran tiga pingat di YOG 2014 selepas menghadiahkan sebutir pingat perak menerusi acara recurve campuran antarabangsa.

Pingat emas pertama negara disumbang pemain badminton pelapis negara, Cheam June Wei dalam acara beregu campuran antarabangsa manakala pingat perak oleh penerjun pelapis wanita negara, Loh Zhiayi dalam acara 10m platform individu.

Dalam acara sukan lain hari ini, pasukan golf negara yang beraksi dalam acara kumpulan campuran antarabangsa terus dihimpit kegagalan apabila pemain golf, Low Khai Jee dan Kelly Kah Kah hanya berjaya menamatkan saingan pusingan kedua di tempat ke-23.

Atlet pelapis negara dari sukan golf, memanah dan gimrama akan meneruskan cabaran bagi pemburuan pingat pada hari ke-10 esok.

China pula terus mendominasi kejohanan itu sejak hari pertama apabila mengumpul sebanyak 34 pingat emas, 10 perak dan 13 gangsa.

Rusia pula di tempat kedua dengan 20 pingat emas, 15 perak dan 10 gangsa mengatasi pencabar terdekat Amerika Syarikat yang mengumpul tujuh pingat emas, satu perak dan enam gangsa.
