Kawasan Penjuru Padang Stadium Nasional Kurang Dapat Cahaya Matahari - Saravanan

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 Nov (Bernama) -- Kawasan penjuru padang di Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil yang kurang mendapat cahaya matahari menyebabkan pertumbuhan rumput menjadi perlahan dan terbantut, persidangan Dewan Rakyat diberitahu Isnin.

Timbalan Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Datuk M.Saravanan berkata tempoh matang untuk pertumbuhan rumput itu adalah kira-kira enam bulan namun kerana kurangnya cahaya, akar rumput masih lagi pendek.

"Langkah yang diambil adalah dengan membeli tiga unit 'grow light' di kawasan tersebut untuk pertumbuhan rumput. Untuk makluman, rumput yang ditanam adalah sesuai dengan iklim Thailand yang menggunakan rumput yang sama," katanya.

Saravanan berkata demikian ketika menggulung Rang Udang-Undang Perbekalan 2015 dan Usul Anggaran Perbelanjaan Pembangunan 2015 peringkat kementeriannya.

Beliau menjawab pertanyaan beberapa anggota Parlimen yang ingin tahu status projek membaik pulih padang stadium tersebut serta penggantian rumput baharu.

Sebelum ini dilaporkan, Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS) memutuskan untuk membaik pulih padang Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil susulan kerosakan yang berlaku selepas perlawanan akhir Piala Malaysia antara Pahang dan Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) pada 1 Nov lepas.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
