PSM gantung Hanapiah enam bulan



Kuala Lumpur: Persatuan Sepaktakraw Malaysia (PSM) bertindak menggantung perejam berpengalaman negara, Mohd Hanapiah Dollah selama enam bulan.

Keputusan diputuskan baru-baru ini oleh mesyuarat exco PSM selepas pemain kelahiran Terengganu itu mahu menarik diri daripada skuad negara.

“Ia berkuat kuasa 10 Oktober lalu. Keputusan itu terpaksa diambil selepas dia mahu meninggalkan skuad negara sekali gus dilihat bertentangan dengan perlembagaan persatuan,” menurut sumber.
Sepanjang tahun lalu dan awal tahun ini, Hanapiah dilabel perejam utama negara dalam skuad kendalian Jamaluddin Hassan selepas kecederaan dialami Norshahrudin Mad Ghani.

“Dia memberi alasan mahu fokus kepada kerja. Bagaimanapun, dia berpeluang membuat rayuan meringankan hukuman dan difahamkan surat rayuan sudah dihantar kepada PSM, cuma badan induk berkenaan belum bermesyuarat,” katanya.

PSM pimpinan Datuk Ahmad Ismail dilihat tegas terutamanya dalam mempersiapkan pemain terbaik bagi menghadapi Sukan SEA 2017 di Malaysia dengan misi merampas pingat emas yang sudah terlalu lama tidak dimenangi skuad negara, kali terakhir edisi 2005 di Filipina.

Ketiadaan Hanapiah bagaimanapun dilihat tidak memberikan kesan besar kerana mampu diisi seorang lagi perejam negara, Mohd Khairul Zaman Akhbar yang beraksi cemerlang pada Siri Super ISTAF 2014/24 di Myanmar awal bulan ini.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

KUALA TERENGGANU, May 29 (Bernama) -- Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badaw i said the government always gives emphasis on cultivating a strong sporting culture in achieving excellence at the international level. Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
