Siapa jurulatih hoki negara?



Kuala Lumpur: Teka-teki siapakah ketua jurulatih tetap skuad hoki negara dijangka akan terjawab selewat-lewatnya menjelang tirai Tahun Baru ini.

Ini kerana, difahamkan Konfederasi Hoki Malaysia (MHC) akan membuat pengumuman menerusi satu sidang media, sekali gus merungkai pelbagai pertanyaan sebelum ini.

Menurut sumber, mengikut perancangan asal, pengumuman itu sepatutnya dilakukan Sabtu lalu oleh Presiden MHC Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Namun, ia terpaksa ditangguhkan ke satu tarikh yang belum ditetapkan, tetapi kemungkinan besar selewat-lewatnya Khamis ini.

“Belum mendapat pengesahan daripada pejabat Tengku (untuk mengadakan sidang media). Jika ada, ia pasti akan dimaklumkan kepada media,” kata sumber itu semalam.

Antara nama yang disebut-sebut akan menggalas tugas itu adalah Neil Hagwood, bekas jurulatih skuad kebangsaan wanita India.

Sejak pengunduran pengendali dari Afrika Selatan Paul Revington, senario barisan kejurulatihan skuad negara dilihat agak kusut dan bermasalah.

Selepas Muhammad Dhaarma Raj Abdullah dilantik menggantikan pengendali dari Afrika Selatan itu, Dhaarma kemudian direhatkan berikutan kegagalan di Sukan Komanwel serta Piala Dunia sebelum digantikan bekas penolong jurulatih Arul Selvaraj.

Arul pula gagal memenuhi sasaran mara ke final Sukan Asia dan akibat itu beliau pula digantikan oleh Tai Beng Hai.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
