Khairy ucap tahniah




KUALA LUMPUR – Menteri Belia dan Sukan, Khairy Jamaluddin mengucapkan tahniah atas kejayaan pasukan hoki negara menjuarai Pusingan Kedua Liga Hoki Dunia di Singapura kelmarin.

Beliau bagaimanapun berkata, soal imbuhan atas kejayaan pasukan hoki negara itu hanya dapat dibincangkan setelah selesai keseluruhan perjalanan Liga Hoki Dunia.

“Ramai yang buat andaian mereka (pasukan hoki negara) telah memenangi Liga Hoki Dunia tetapi mereka sebenarnya baru layak ke Separuh Akhir Liga Hoki Dunia.

“Jadi kita bincang soal imbuhan selepas mereka selesai perjalanan dalam Liga Hoki Dunia, apa pun, saya berbangga dan saya ucapkan tahniah tetapi ini baru pusingan kedua,” katanya pada sidang akhbar selepas Mesyuarat Exco Pemuda UMNO di Menara Dato Onn, semalam.

Kelmarin, pasukan hoki negara berjaya menjuarai Pusingan Kedua Liga Hoki Dunia di Singapura selepas membelasah Poland 8-0.

Kejayaan membolehkan Malaysia layak beraksi pada Separuh Akhir Liga Hoki Dunia di Antwerp, Belgium pada bulan Jun ini.

Govt Always Gives Emphasis To Sporting Culture, Says PM

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
