Sembilan Negara Sertai Siri Super Istaf 2014/2015 Di Melaka

MELAKA, 28 Jan (Bernama) -- Sembilan negara akan menyertai pusingan kedua Kejohanan Sepak Takraw Siri Super Persekutuan Sepak Takraw Antarabangsa (Istaf) musim 2014-2015 di Pusat Dagangan Antarabangsa Melaka, Ayer Keroh di sini, bermula 5 Feb ini.

Exco Kesihatan dan Pembangunan Sukan Negeri, Datuk Ab Rahaman Ab Karim berkata selain Malaysia, negara lain ialah Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Korea Selatan, Jepun, Singapura, China dan Thailand.

Kejohanan empat hari itu terbahagi kepada dua kategori iaitu lelaki dan wanita manakala setiap kategori dibahagikan kepada dua kumpulan, katanya pada sidang media di sini hari ini.

Beliau berkata dalam kategori lelaki, juara pusingan pertama, Thailand diundi dalam Kumpulan A bersama-sama dengan Jepun, Korea Selatan dan Myanmar manakala Malaysia berada dalam Kumpulan B dengan Singapura, China dan Indonesia.

Dalam kategori wanita pula, Malaysia, Korea Selatan dan Vietnam diundi dalam Kumpulan A manakala Kumpulan B menyaksikan kehadiran juara pusingan pertama, Thailand, Jepun dan Myanmar.

Pada pusingan pertama di Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar, bulan lepas, Thailand menjuarai kedua-dua kategori dengan skuad lelaki negara itu menewaskan Malaysia 3-0 dalam final manakala skuad wanitanya mengalahkan Vietnam 2-0.

Rajagobal Let Off The Hook

PETALING JAYA, April 24 (Bernama) -- National head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal was let off the hook by the Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) Disciplinary Committee after finding no evidence that he had violated FAM's Article 88, as claimed. FAM Disciplinary Committee chairman Datuk Taufik Abdul Razak said the committee had decided not to charge Rajagobal after carefully analysing the video of the post-match press conference by the 56-year-old coach.
