KAPAR: Old-fashioned and outdated youth and sports programmes needed to be reviewed and improved, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said yesterday. The ministry was in the midst of reviewing all youth programmes as part of the ministry's strategic plan drafted until 2015, he said. "Majority of the youths now stay in the city or at the fringes of town. So the ministry’s approaches via the state and district offices have to change according to times. "We must scrap off the assumptions that our programmes are old-fashioned and outdated," he said during a working visit to the Klang Rakan Muda Complex here. He stressed that the ministry must always be ahead of change and ensure that its programmes mirrored the contemporary changes.
